Sleeping & Luke's One Month Check-Up

We had  a great day today...
Andy & I decided to start putting Luke to sleep in his nursery instead of our room last night.  I was a little nervous about it because of the distance from our room to his, but it went very good! He even slept for 5 hours last night! I was so happy because he normally sleeps only 3 at a time.  I am guessing it might be because it is warmer upstairs. We will see how tonight goes...I sure hope it continues!

Luke also had his one month check up today.  He was such a good baby at the Dr.'s office.
His stats are:
11 lbs 2 oz. (90th percentile)
21.5" (50th percentile)
I wasn't surprised about his weight, this boy loves to eat!

He's Here!

Luke was born July 23rd at 5:22 pm.

He is a healthy 8 lbs even, and 20" long.

This is a quick post, but here are a few pictures until I get the time to post more.

The proud dad.

Luke's Nursery

I've been finished with the nursery for a while now, just haven't had the time to take pictures and post them.
Here are a few of Luke's nursery.
At first I thought I was going to order some construction truck bedding from Pottery Barn, but I saw this fabric set up as a nursery at the fabric store and fell in love with it.  I decided to sew it myself and get the blanket and pillow personalized for Luke. It should be a room I can use for years because the fabric is more grown up than it is "baby".

My mother in law gave this to us at Christmas for Luke. It was one of our first baby gifts and I
love it in the nursery and I'm sure Luke will love it also.

I looked everywhere for some artwork that I liked for the nursery and couldn't find anything.  I found these two pages out of an old nursery book that my mom had. I scanned them and framed them.

The tractor that my dad couldn't pass up.

37 Weeks

I'm 37 weeks today and considered "full term"!  This is my last week of work and I can't believe how fast time has gone by.

The reality of how close I am to meeting Luke hasn't quite hit me yet, but I'm also so very excited at the same time.
I had a Dr.'s appt. yesterday and found out that Luke is in the breech position.  We were told about 3 weeks ago that he was head down and it was unlikely that he would turn again.  Well, he decided to surprise us!
I'm waiting on a call to schedule a c-section at week 39, just 2 weeks away!
